For the Love of Cars!

Tonight I saw something again that is actually quite frequent. Yet, I do not quite comprehend it. We went out to dinner tonight to a 'step above fast food' establishment. As we were leaving I noticed a lady sitting in her car (with it running, A/C on, windows up, etc) eating her dinner. I don't get it. Beyond the fact that she was sitting in a running car, going no where and wasting unnecessary gas and carbon emissions; I cannot really understand why you would want to eat in your car. Maybe she didn't want to be seen eating alone? There were others there eating alone. Most of them outside. People just confuse me sometimes.

Katie, thanks for the comment. Yes, we seem to be pretty like minded. (I have 'endorsed' Obama as well. Just not officially on the site.... Thanks for stopping by!

Sigh. There are people like that. Here i heard of a business magnate who has his own private jet. And he flies from city to city. And he expects the pilot to keep flying till he finishes his three to five course meal even when the journey from one city to the other takes just about an hour or so...

Do they even realise that they are using up the world's resources? Just because they can 'afford' it does not mean they can do it...

Very true. I guess there is wastefulness on the small scale and then wastefulness on the large scale.
